Chris is a UK Chartered Engineer with more than 25 years of professional experience both in the private and public sectors and has worked on multiple small and large scale civil engineering and building development projects mostly in the UK and has been fortunate to work on economic development projects in the Middle East and in developing economies in Africa.  

 

Chris leads the Novacene civil engineering and asset management service for utility, rail, building, port, highway, flood prone assets. With years of experience of managing consultants and advisors on highway, drainage, specialist pavement, commercial and residential development, coastal, port and flood resilience schemes Novacene offers a full project management service with cost effective choice options for the procurement and delivery of building and civil engineering projects. Chris can advise on the suitability of forms of contract for works in the UK including JCT, ICE, ECC and for small projects needing simple direction to larger scale public sector investment and regeneration projects. Chris is an experienced advisor relating to the application and use of the CDM regulations, risk assessment for projects, EPC, risk and value management and public sector procurement.  

 

He has experience in the design, development and management for example buildings, harbours, coastal structures, and the use of specialist metals and materials including steel, timber, harbours, marinas, capital dredging projects, demolition and asbestos removal contracts including factories and buildings, maintenance of structures in nearshore and offshore installations, quay wall design and repair, canal and river design, coastal and cliff management projects, flood resilience and asset investigation, urban residential and commercial development including highway, drainage and major utility infrastructure investment.
